My brother-in-law snapped this picture at his place of employment on the north side of Zion National Park. It has six legs, barb-like spikes on its legs, a stinger, and wicked pinchers on its head. It's body is striped.

I've tried looking it up online, but where I don't know what type of bug it is, that's kind of hard to do.|||Yes, a Jerusalem cricket. Not a true cricket but a member of the family Stenopelmatidae. They are really fierce. Put one in a terrarium with a scorpion or tarantula and the Jerusalem cricket can dismember its opponent in a few minutes. They also can inflict a rather painful nip on humans. But they don't sting.|||Jerusalem cricket
