I'm looking for really cheap flights from NYC (any airport) to Austin around the end of July. I've checked Jetblue, Student Universe, Orbitz, and Kayak, but the latter three seem to offer similar prices. Is it better to wait, or is it cheaper to find flights now?

Thanks!|||You may get cheaper deals than $290 in July.

Some specialized sites compare airfares from different airlines. The most popular ones are listed here: http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.a鈥?/a>

Use flexible dates in your query whenever it is possible.

Include low cost airlines in your query whenever it is possible.|||Since you are flying in July, ticket prices are usually higher due to it being peak travel time. I think $290 round-trip is reasonable. You can also see if American Airlines or Delta has anything. I expect the prices to be somewhat similar. The other place I would go to is http://www.priceline.com. You can bid on a flight but you may not necessarily get the best flight time or airline.|||there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/flights.php and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.|||if you go august it is around $250 but in case you have to travel on those date then $290 is what your going to get.You can check various travel sites to see if someone is giving any discount on credit card or some other type of discount.
