I live in southern Utah, my boyfriend lives in Las Vegas, and we want to go camping this week. Preferably somewhere warm, I know its supposed to rain Wednesday and Thursday in most areas of the southwest, but we'll decide later if we're willing to deal with rain.
I live right by cedar breaks, bryce canyon, and zion national parks, I go to those a lot and would prefer somewhere different. It's supposed to be freezing at night in the grand canyon, so that's not going to be fun for us.
We're both pretty interested in so cal, but I'm not sure what places are fun for camping and hiking there.
What are some really cool places that you would recommend? it doesn't need to be in so cal, just somewhere that won't be so cold this time of year.
Thanks in advance, and happy earth day!!|||Death Valley is nice this time of year and not that far out of Las Vegas, then continue west into the mountains around Big Pine or Bishop.|||Thank you! We did end up going to Death Valley, it was pretty hot in the valley during the day, but there were tons of hikes in higher elevations that were so nice and cool. and the weather at night was perfect.
