please offer different ideas other than hoover dam / grand canyon / zion national park. do you know any scenic roads / interesting towns / wildlife parks / gorgeous places to sleep ? thankyou so much , it will be fun getting out of vegas a bit :)|||You can do a long day trip to Death Valley and there is an inn for overnight stay

You can enjoy a drive thru Vegas to Red Rock Canyon. There is an 18 mile loop and visitor center and down the main road Bonnie Springs Ranch, an cowboy town

Valley of Fire is exception, used in several Star Trek movies BUT not for summer visits. Way way to hot

Think of Henderson and Ethel M Chocolate Factory and cactus garden. Stop at Green Valley Ranch for a great buffet and M Resort on the way back

There are no wild life parks. The Las Vegas Zoo is small private on Ranch Road

as Vegas Springs Preserve is a great place to visit and have a lunch, see the sights of nature (West Charleston to Arville and right)

Primm is a different small town with three casinos on the CA border, a rollercoaster and another ride.|||Head west out Charleston Blvd. through Red Rock Canyon. Make a right onto Hwy. 160 to Pahrump (where you can visit the Brothel Art Museum, if you were so inclined). Make the left on Hwy. 372 (which becomes Hwy.178 when you cross into California) to Shoshone. Fill up there and get any snacks and drinks, because it will be 72 miles to the next possible stop. Continue on Hwy. 178 through the middle of Death Valley National Park pass the salt flats of Badwater Basin (the lowest point in North America (Elevation -282'). When you stop, look up the hill to the sign that says "Sea Level". Continue on to Furnace Creek (where you can stop by the park's visitor center). Then head east on Hwy. 190. Make the right hand turn towards Dantes View, with exceptional views of the valley floor below from a mile up in the sky. Then head back towards Death Valley Junction and follow the signs back to Vegas.

The trip takes about 10 hours in total, but is really worth the drive.|||Quality Tours of Las Vegas features a one of kind custom tour from Las Vegas to Hollywood! Lights, camera action! Charleston is a so different than Vegas. Just a short drive and they have rental cabins for overnight stays. It is beautiful and much cooler up there.|||Try this link.
