what is the biogeochemical cycle.

also i need one for zion national park

thank you|||Read the article below. It discusses the biochemical cycle and has links to each particular chemical and it's cycle.

Basically there are just a few atomic elements in addition to water that make up the chemistry of life. They include: nitrogen, oxygen, carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, water, and hydrogen. Each of these materials has its own chemical cycle.

A biochemical cycle is basically the steps a chemical goes cycles through as it passes through various plants, animals, bacteria, soil, water and the air as it is eaten, converted, excreted and otherwise used by living things.

The second link is to a picture of the nitrogen cycle to give you an idea of what a cycle looks like. Note that each chemical has it's own cycle and each is slightly different from all the others.

You will really need to read these pages to get the whole story. It is not too complicated but it would be way too long for my to put into this answer.

The last link is to a page on Zion National Park.
