I need to get a flight from LAX or San Francisco to Buenos Aires for July 22nd-24th under $550 one way. If anyone knows any great hidden gem sites to search off of I would greatly appreciate it. I'm going to study abroad till November so I checked Student Universe and it is $650 one way. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You|||I went to Europe for a year as a college junior. I bought what was called an "open-jaw" ticket which basically leaves the return flight date open for up to a year. It was in the 70's. At that time a one way ticket cost almost as much as a round trip ticket. I believe Kayak has an open-jaw option but you will still have to deal with an airline at some point. It seems that a one way in July should be much more reasonable that the return in November or at some future point since November is late Spring for BA and the flights are far more expensive. Your choice of airports also cause problems with pricing. I have flown to BA five times in the last ten years from SFO and had to go through Dallas or Miami until LAN started service. There are no direct flights from SFO on LAN, though. You will go through Lima. From LAX, I have done direct to Bogota on Avianca, then to BA. Good Luck.|||Bid on priceline.com
